The short version
- This website sets no cookies and uses no analytics or advertising trackers. Nothing is stored on your device when you browse it.
- The only personal information we collect is what you type into the contact form or the quote form and choose to send us.
- Those submissions reach us as email in our Microsoft 365 mailbox. Microsoft is the only company that handles them on our behalf.
- We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for advertising.
- You can ask us what we hold about you, or ask us to delete it, by emailing info@conextek.com.
Who this notice covers
ConexTek LLC (“ConexTek”, “we”, “us”) is a contact centre based at 1919 Boulevard Street, Unit A. Greensboro, NC. 27407. We are the controller of the personal information described here.
This notice covers visitors to this website only.
It does not cover the personal information we handle when delivering contact centre services to our clients. In that work we act as a service provider on our clients’ instructions, under separate written agreements, and the privacy notice of the client whose customers we are supporting applies. If you were contacted by an agent working on behalf of one of our clients and want to exercise rights over that data, contact that company directly, or email us and we will route your request.
What we collect
Information you send us
Our contact form asks for your name, email address, an optional company name, and your message. Our quote form additionally asks for a phone number, the services and channels you are interested in, your expected coverage hours and volume, and any notes you add.
We also record which page you submitted the form from, so we know whether an enquiry followed a particular service page.
Everything in these forms is optional in the sense that you choose whether to contact us. Name, email and message are required for the form to send, because we cannot answer an enquiry without them.
Information collected automatically
To stop automated systems from flooding our forms, our server keeps a short-lived record of form submissions. That record holds a hashed form of your IP address together with submission timestamps. It exists only to enforce a limit of eight submissions per hour and is discarded automatically about an hour after your last submission.
Like almost every website, our hosting provider’s web server records standard access logs — the IP address making a request, the time, the page requested, and your browser’s user-agent string. We do not use these logs to build any profile of you; they exist for security and troubleshooting, and are retained for a limited period set by our hosting provider.
Requests to conextek.com without the www prefix pass through Cloudflare, which provides network and security services and processes the same basic request information in doing so.
What we do not collect
Stating this plainly is easier than hedging, and all of it is verifiable by inspecting this page in your browser:
- No cookies. This website sets none at all — not for analytics, not for preferences, not for sessions.
- No analytics or advertising technology. There is no Google Analytics, no Meta pixel, no advertising tag and no heat-mapping or session-recording tool.
- No third-party content. Fonts, images, audio and scripts are all served from our own domain, so browsing this site does not tell any other company that you visited.
- No accounts. There is nothing to log into, so we hold no usernames or passwords.
- No sensitive categories. We do not ask for, and have no use for, information such as health, biometric data, racial or ethnic origin, religious beliefs, sexual orientation, precise geolocation, or government identifiers.
- No purchased or brokered data. We do not buy personal information or obtain it from data brokers.
Why we use it
We use what you send us in order to:
- reply to your enquiry and answer your questions;
- prepare a quote or proposal, where you have asked for one;
- keep a record of our correspondence with you while we are in discussion, and for a reasonable period afterwards;
- protect our forms and our systems from abuse, spam and fraud;
- meet legal, tax and accounting obligations where they apply.
We do not use your enquiry to add you to a marketing list. If we ever want to send you marketing that is unrelated to your enquiry, we will ask you first.
For visitors in the UK and the European Economic Area, our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries about our services and in keeping our systems secure, and, where we are taking steps at your request before entering a contract, performance of that contract.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries and quote requests: for up to 24 months after our last contact with you, so that we have context if you come back to us. Longer if we go on to work together, in which case our client records apply.
- Form rate-limiting records: about one hour.
- Web server logs: a limited period set by our hosting provider, typically measured in weeks.
You can ask us to delete your enquiry sooner, and we will unless we are required to keep it.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have some or all of the following rights over personal information we hold about you:
- to know what we hold and to receive a copy of it;
- to have inaccurate information corrected;
- to have it deleted;
- to object to or restrict how we use it, and to withdraw consent where we relied on it;
- to receive it in a portable format, where that right applies;
- not to be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights.
Residents of California, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah and other US states with comprehensive privacy laws have rights along these lines under those laws. We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioural advertising, so there is no opt-out for us to offer. Residents of the UK and the EEA have rights under the UK GDPR and GDPR respectively.
To exercise any of these, email info@conextek.com. We will respond within the time the applicable law allows, and we may need to ask you a question or two to confirm who you are before we act. There is no charge.
If you are unhappy with how we handled your request, you can complain to your data protection authority. In the UK that is the Information Commissioner’s Office; in the EEA it is your national supervisory authority.
How we protect it
This website is served over HTTPS. It runs as static files with no database, no login and no content management system, which removes most of the ways a website is normally attacked.
Form submissions travel over an encrypted connection to our server and are passed to Microsoft over an authenticated, encrypted API connection. The credentials used to do this are stored outside the public area of the web server and are never sent to your browser. Your enquiry then sits in our Microsoft 365 mailbox, protected by our access controls.
No system is perfectly secure, and we do not claim otherwise. If we ever suffer a breach affecting your personal information, we will notify you and the relevant regulator where the law requires it.
Children
This website is aimed at businesses, not children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, email info@conextek.com and we will delete it.
Changes to this notice
If we change how we handle personal information, we will update this page and change the date at the top. Where a change is significant, we will say so clearly rather than quietly revising the text.
